Sweet Slumber

This relaxing holiday break has led me to catch up on something I was severely missing: sleep.  Awaking sans alarm clock is certainly a privilege.  One that spawned a wakeful dreaming of gorgeously appointed bedrooms.  And so this post is dedicated to the room that we perhaps spend the most time in, albeit with our eyes closed…

To my delight, I received Celerie Kemble’s Black and White for Christmas and I have to say, I truly love her interiors.  This bedroom, as shown in Lonny’s Nov/Dec 2011 issue, is no exception.

A wild print works when done in black and white as in this room by Robert Leleux.

The striking artwork really pops against the soothing mint wall color in this room by Christian Leone.  The flooring adds a nice dose of texture.  Featured in Lonny Sept/Oct 2011.

A lovely combination of prints in this elegant bedroom by Eileen Kathryn Boyd.

I’m really into dark walls.  I only wish I could muster up the courage to paint a bedroom in a rich charcoal or a lacquered black.  Balanced against the white duvet, the dark wallpaper definitely works.

Another example of gorgeous wallpaper!  Not to mention those mirrored closets and what a beautiful bath…  Love this room designed by Lisa Fine.  Featured in Lonny Dec/Jan 2010.

I’m a huge fan of Chicago based designer Lauren Gold.  Her apartment featured in Lonny’s July/Aug issue was pretty amazing.  The girl’s got taste.

I’m a sucker for prints.  Mixing, matching, mis-matching… it’s all good.  I also love the textured pillows in my favorite color, chartreuse!  Interior by Laura Day.

The fur throw and deco inspired table make this room designed by Palmer Weiss.

Orange done right.  Love everything in this interior by Ryan Korban.  Image via Lonny Feb/Mar 2010.

Eclectic is never dull.  The teal wall color is a particularly great backdrop in this room designed by Ben Broughman.

I love this bedroom from the super cute North Carolina based Furbish Studio.  I particularly like the polka dot and floral combo in the pillows (the lamps and pillows are sold online).  The wall color is also fabulous.  I recently painted my bedroom in Benjamin Moore’s Wild Aster, a softer but still sophisticated shade of pink.
