Somewhere between petal pink and peachy beige, blush hues are the sophisticated counterpart to winter white. Whether paired with black leather, white or juxtaposed against brights, this muted neutral feels fresh, optimistic and even reminiscent of sunny days to come. Especially loving it worn monochrome below (P.S. check out that gorge Sophie Hulme envelope clutch, the mini version is on sale at farfetch here–tempting)!
In case you haven’t heard (or noticed), the Pantone color for Spring 2014 is….Dazzingly Blue. This robust shade of cobalt is the boldest of the muted palette of front runners rounding off Spring’s top ten hues, which includes shades of violet, orchid, orange, freesia, cayenne, sand, and hemlock (a sage green). Equally at ease with brights and pastels, Spring 2014’s trending tone is one that’s easy to incorporate. Wear now with rich jewel tones or simple black & white. Another fail safe option: a cobalt clutch or handbag–it will be a definite go-to, both now and later.

While neon hues are making a major comeback in 2012, nothing says Spring like soft pastel shades of mint. I’m especially loving it paired with red. Another plus, mint looks great against pale skin… so key given that it’s still winter!

The lovely Blair Eadie of Atlantic-Pacific can do no wrong in my book. Here she is looking darling in a mix of pastel shades accented with bright green.
