Spots, Gold & A Little Lacquer

More spotted wallpaper…. I’m massively obsessed–may require an intervention (previously posted here).  However, this office space housing interior designer Tiffany Richey is perhaps my favorite use of it yet.   Loving it with these gold etageres and lacquer desk.  The ever-popular Hick’s Pendant is a perfect complement with its brass/black finish.  Such a fabulous work space!

A Killer Manhattan Pad

My jaw dropped when I saw this gorgeous Manhattan apartment in Rue Magazine.  Turns out it’s occupied by artist and blogger Nicole Cohen.  Faced with a major apartment overhaul and not a scrap of furniture, Cohen started her blog, Sketch42, as a means of creating a community of fellow design lovers to offer feedback as her renovation project progressed.  The result is an elegant and eclectic modern mix that looks both fresh and inviting.

The furnishings were personally curated by Cohen through a wide range of resources from ebay to Restoration Hardware and 1st Dibs.  She even scavenged a chair from the side of the street, which she recovered and now calls the “garbage chair.”  Love that!

Below is the infamous “garbage chair” accented with a black leather pillow.

I’m in love with Cohen’s Warren Platner-inspired gold leaf coffee table.  Of course, it’s way over my budget!

I’ve been eyeing the Hicks Pendant Light from Circa Lighting for my own home for some time.  They strike a nice balance here with the modern furnishings.  I love the black and gold.

Just lovely!
