I’m always a sucker for tips on decorating small spaces–a likely product of living in them my entire adult life. As per usual, the editors at Lonny nailed it with this NYC apartment makeover featured in last month’s issue. Take a gander…
The mix of textures from acrylic and metal to leather and fur really makes the neutral color palette work. Architectural details like the ornate fireplace and ceiling tiles don’t hurt either. I’m really digging that leather chaise too.
The bulk of the furnishings came from Restoration Hardware‘s Big Style Small Spaces Collection. While RH is usually pretty pricey, a lot of the items were surprisingly reasonable. I particularly love the light fixture.
I’ve never thought of displaying handbags on the wall but it really livens up the space while doubling as storage–score! And this bedroom… it’s airy and feminine but not fussy. The mix of delicate textures in the mongolian fur pillow and the sheepskin rug really soften the all-white minimalist theme.
