Maxi Skirts Done Right

I’m a huge fan of the maxi skirt but it can be a hard length to pull off.  These ladies rock it.

Urban Outfitters has a pleated chiffon maxi skirt almost identical to the one above, it’s $58.00 here.  ASOS also has some good options, including this blue chiffon number (also available in cream).

Fab Finds: Sorbet Denim

If you haven’t already updated your closet with a must-have pair of colored denim, you need to do so now because I’ve found the perfect affordable pair: BDG Cigarette High-Rise Jean by Urban Outfitters.  At $58.00, they’re a steal compared to other similar options.  Plus, they’re super soft with just the right amount of stretch and they come in an array of fabulous colors to boot.  Don’t pass on these babies, trust me.  Note: they run true to size to a tad big due to softness and stretch.

Perfectly Tied

Did you know there is a right way and a wrong way to tie a bow?  I definitely didn’t… that is, until I came across this informative post by the lovely Liz Cherk in her blog, Late Afternoon.   You see the trick, according to Liz, is to remember to pull the right loop over and under.   It certainly sounds simple and makes a world of difference.

Liz’s bow tying lesson couldn’t be more timely.  Indeed, a good bow will be the perfect finishing touch to Spring’s paperbag trousers and shorts.  Love these Kimichi Blue Trousers from Urban Outfitters, $59.00.

Go ahead and give it a try.  Let me know your thoughts.
