Apartment Envy

As always, the new issue of Lonny was chock full of amazing design inspo.  This Brooklyn one-bed in Clinton Hill is particularly awesome.  Home to Real Simple market editor Kelley Carter, the apartment’s bold use of color, texture, and pattern really works despite the small space.

The apartment was completely overhauled and coated in a neutral gray paint.  From there, Carter used some fantastic wallpapers to add intrigue with accent walls –something most would avoid in a small space.  Here, it really works.  For this accent wall Carter used a subtle swirl design by Cole & Son.

I fell in love with these pink graphic pillows by Nightbyrd.  They pair really well with the gray velvet Mitchell Gold sofa.   Other accents like colorful art, lamps, and curiosities play up the eclectic tone.

This hot pink desk is amazing.  The chevron fabric on the mood board is pretty great too.

In the bedroom Carter used a feather print paper by Ferm Living, which pairs well with the simple white bedding.

I’m swooning over this minaret printed paper by Osborne & Little.  The yellow breakfast table is also on my wish list, such a fab find from Ikea.

Love all of it!
