Currently Coveting: Cobalt

In case you haven’t heard (or noticed), the Pantone color for Spring 2014 is….Dazzingly Blue.  This robust shade of cobalt is the boldest of the muted palette of front runners rounding off Spring’s top ten hues, which includes shades of violet, orchid, orange, freesia, cayenne, sand, and hemlock (a sage green).  Equally at ease with brights and pastels, Spring 2014’s trending tone is one that’s easy to incorporate.  Wear now with rich jewel tones or simple black & white.  Another fail safe option: a cobalt clutch or handbag–it will be a definite go-to, both now and later.
